Welcome to the Farm.
Hi! I’m Sandie and I’m the farmer in the family!
Our Story: My husband, 5 kids and I moved onto this 3 acre plot of land in Parker, Colorado 5 years ago, and I hoped to make it into a working farm! When I started “The Winding Way Farm”, I hoped to be able to grow food without the use of any pesticide, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers- and sell this food to my local community. Cultivating the most healthy food possible is really important to me- partly because I have Crohn’s disease, and have learned to control my auto-immune disease through a healthy diet. I hoped to sell produce from the farm, but I quickly realized that selling my produce was not possible on our farm’s small scale with one employee (myself)! What was possible, however, was hosting workshops and events that teach and inspire people to do some of the things I’m doing on the farm, right in their own backyards and kitchens. I use all of my farm-fresh products in my events and workshops. At the end of my first farming season, I hosted my first Flower Bar on a whim, just to see if it would be fun! It was SO fun, so life-giving, that I started to see the benefit of just bringing people together for fun events, like Flower Bars, and giving them opportunities to connect and relax on the farm. Plus, I always incorporate as much farm fresh and made-from-scratch food as possible- and I always share my recipes! ’The Winding Way Farm’ exists to bring people together, where we can relax, enjoy delicious food, and hopefully, even learn something new!
